The ranch house is an unusual property that will suit someone who loves the farm life, enjoys gardening and either has horses or likes being around them. My mother built her house and barn about 20 years ago. She built the house adjoining the barn because the horses were her life and she worked with them all day, every day. Horse fields surround the house and are visible from most views.

The farm is peaceful and quiet and your interaction with the horses can be minimal if you choose. However, due to the close proximity of the house to the barn, horses often are led across the yards.

The house is a one-story ranch house that has two bedrooms, two baths, an open concept kitchen, dinning room and living room. There is a separate sun porch, and wreck room or den.

There is plenty of closet space, a laundry room off the kitchen, and storage attic.

The master bedroom has a new addition and is huge, with vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan, large closets and room for a sitting area and home office. There is bath with walk in shower.

The second bath is newly renovated with a Jacuzzi tub and ceramic tile.

The sun porch has a stone foundation, vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan. The floors are terrazzo tile. There are huge open windows on three out of four walls and two doors to the outside.

There is a wonderful cast iron wood stove with a stone chimney in the dinning room/living room. This primarily heats the house so you would need to be willing to heat with wood. There is central air and a heat pump for supplemental heat.

The kitchen has custom oak cabinets, granite breakfast counter or bar, stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove and oven.

The pool is an in ground 30,000-gallon pool that is fenced with a deck and covered patio.

The yard and pool maintenance are taken care of and are not your responsibility.

The Cottage has been rented so its currently not available.

The cottage is two bedrooms, two baths, one story house with tons of lovable, charm.

The floors are wood, the roof is tin. Outside, there are big, old boxwoods, a peach tree and an ancient Japanese maple tree.

The master bedroom has carpet, a vaulted ceiling with ceiling fan, two walk in closets, a bath w/ shower and a walk out door to the back yard. The kitchen/dining room and living room are open concept in an L shape. The Kitchen cabinets and counters are vintage. Cook stove is gas. A walk out deck comes off of the dinning room; a covered porch greets you at the front door. There is a second bath with tub and laundry room, utility sink. A sun porch/mudroom is in the back with lots of windows and another door to the back yard. A second bedroom is sunny with wood floors. There is a small office.

The main heat is a Hearthstone gas fireplace/stove with a thermostat. All the adjacent rooms also have electirc baseboard, the a/c is with window units.  Rent is $1,200.00 per month plus utilities. There is cable and wireless is available. The yard maintenance is done for you so all you have to do is garden if you like. I lived in this house for 12 years and was very happy.
